Self-directed services allow you to have control over what services you receive. There are many choices so you can be successful. Self-directed services are based on the principles of self-advocacy and self-determination. Self-advocacy means speaking or acting on your own behalf. Self-determination means you have the amount of control you want over the areas of your life that are important to you.
